Mega Millions ticket worth over $1.6M sold in Oxnard

OXNARD, Calif. — A person from Ventura County woke up a lot richer Saturday morning after they matched five out of six numbers on a Mega Millions ticket in Oxnard.

According to the California Lottery, the ticket was for a draw at Master’s Donuts located at 1911 North Oxnard Boulevard. The ticket purchased by the person from Ventura County was worth $1,698,158.

The ticket matched the numbers 55-66-8-10-17, but was only missing the Mega Number 3.

Saturday's Mega Millions jackpot, however, saw no one from any state win it, meaning the next jackpot is now an estimated $480 million, says the California Lottery.

Mega Millions draws take place Tuesdays and Fridays at 8 p.m. pacific time. Players must buy their tickets before 7:45 p.m. on the day of the draw in order to be included and any tickets purchased after 7:45 p.m. would be eligible for the following draw.

California Lottery says, there are more than 23,000 options for where to purchase a ticket. Players can find all the details about Mega Millions, including odds of winning at any prize level, on their website.
