Three-vehicle crash shuts down Broadway Street in Santa Maria

Santa Maria Fire Department

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Santa Maria police shut down North Broadway Street in both directions after three vehicles crashed Sunday evening.

Santa Maria Fire and two AMR ambulances responded to the area of Broadway and West Harding Avenue around 5:16 p.m.

Police said one of the vehicles was found to have rolled over.

Several people from inside the cars sustained minor injuries and one person was possibly transported to the hospital with minor injuries. It is unclear how many people were involved.

Police said they are investigating this incident as a possible DUI crash. No arrests have been made at this time.

Officers expect Broadway to be reopened in both directions within the hour after all involved vehicles are towed from the scene.

Until then, drivers are asked to avoid the area.
