HWY 154 temporarily closed in both directions at East Camino Cielo due to crash

KEYT

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - California Highway Patrol shut down both directions of Highway 154 Thursday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash.

The crash was reported around 3:47 p.m.

Officers said a white Mazda was in the middle of the eastbound side of the highway following the collision.

While emergency personnel responded, CHP decided to shut down both directions of the highway at 4:09 p.m.

The roadway was reopened at 4:44 p.m., however, parts of the westbound side were still coned off temporarily.

Santa Barbara County Fire said victims sustained very minor injuries. The road closure was only in place to move the vehicles out of the way of traffic.

CHP is investigating the cause.
