Santa Barbara tennis and pickleball courts open

The Municipal Tennis Center
The City of Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — Santa Barbara’s outdoor activities are starting to come back. This week the city reopened The Municipal Tennis Center. However, there will be some changes to keep with physical distancing protocols.

On April 24th the Santa Barbara County Public Health officials outlined new guidelines for essential businesses and recreational facilities. To reopen the tennis and pickle ball courts the Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department posted 17 Guidelines for a Safe Player Experience

Among those guidelines are when players can be on the court and for how long, what they need to wear including masks and how to handle the equipment. Players will also need to signup online before being able to play.
