Fire crews responded to apartment complex fire in Vandenberg Village early Wednesday morning

VANDENBERG VILLAGE, Calif. – Four units of an apartment complex were evacuated because of an apartment complex fire in the 3900 block of Mesa Circle Drive early Wednesday morning.

According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, no injuries were reported from the scene, but 18 adults, two children, five dogs, and one cat were displaced by the fire and were contacted by the Red Cross.

The fire was initially called in by a resident with a functioning smoke alarm around 3:57 a.m. and the fire was knocked down around 4:40 a.m detail Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

The cause of the fire is under investigation explain Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
