Fire crews extinguish garbage truck fire east of Santa Maria

SANTA MARIA, Calif. – Santa Barbara County Fire responded to a garbage truck fire on Frontage Road adjacent to northbound Highway 101 on Wednesday.

The contents of the truck were dumped on the road and the fire was extinguished before the dumped trash caught fire detail Santa Barbara County Fire.

According to Santa Barbara County Fire, some fire personnel remain on the scene for mop-up and overhaul while the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
