Drivers can expect delays and traffic control on Highway 246 near Lompoc until September
LOMPOC, Calif. – A grinding and paving project on Highway 246 in Lompoc will carry on until September with lane closures starting at V Street and continuing east to the Highway 1/246 intersection.
The project also includes changes to signal and lighting systems with work expected to be complete by Sept. 1 of this year detail Caltrans District 5.
The lane closure schedule is as follows:
- Monday to Thursday: Single lane closure between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Friday: Single lane closure between 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Monday to Thursday: Single lane closure between. 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Monday to Friday: One-way reversing traffic control lane closures between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Caltrans District 5 detail delays of up to ten minutes can be expected during the grinding and paving of the about 2.5-mile stretch of roadway.
The contractor for this $8 million project is Granite Construction of Santa Barbara.
