Local youth center offers free tutoring for teens

SANTA MARIA, Calif. – The Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center offers free summer tutoring for teens in grades 7 to 12.

As a part of Santa Maria's Smart City, Safe City initiative, the youth center offers tutoring services every day from 1 to 6 p.m. alongside additional activities.

Outside of tutoring, teens can choose to participate in indoor sports, arcade-type games, visiting the home theater with movies, computer lab, musical instruments, and the fitness center.

The Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center located at 600 S. McClellan St. is open Monday through Friday with its tutoring program lasting until Aug. 9.
