Santa Barbara County Fire Department responds to vegetation fire in Buellton
BUELLTON, Calif. – Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to a vegetation fire near 254 on Highway 246 in Buellton.
According to Santa Barbara County Fire Department, forward progress on the fire was stopped at 4:30 p.m. as ground personnel coordinate with on-site aerial units to ensure accurate water drops.
Forward progress stopped @ 4:30pm. SBC Hand-crew continuing in to assist. Resources continue to arrive with containment. Ground personnel are coordinating w/copter 308 to insure water drops are accurate along the fire line.

The fire was first reported at 3:52 p.m. on Friday.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
