SpaceX reschedules Falcon 9 launch to Jan. 19

KEYT

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. – SpaceX has rescheduled their Falcon 9 launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base due to weather to a new launch window on Jan. 19 at 7:43 a.m.

This launch's payload is 51 Starlink satellites destined for low-Earth orbit.

Following stage separation, Falcon 9's first stage will return to land onboard the Of Course I Still Love You droneship in the Pacific Ocean.

Unfavorable weather conditions delaying the launch and recovery include 15+ foot waves and high winds across Central and Southern California.

These weather conditions can make launching the rocket and its Starlink satellite payload difficult, but also impede the recovery efforts for the returning rocket.
