SMJUHSD swears in three members to the Board of Education

Santa Maria Joint Union High School District

SANTA MARIA, Calif.– Santa Maria Joint Union High School District swore in three members to the Board of Education in Tuesday's meeting.

Feliciano Aguilar (Area 2), David Baskett (Area 5) and Diana Perez (Area 4) join the board for the next three years. Aguilar and Baskett are new members, while Perez has served the district since 2014 and was re-elected as Board President.

Superintendent Antonia Garcia welcomes the new perspectives and expertise the three bring to the board.

“We are happy to welcome the new board members to our governance team,’’ Garcia said. “I look forward to celebrating the achievements of students and staff with them and the rest of the school board.’’
