Police investigate shooting incident in Santa Maria

SANTA MARIA, Calif.- The Santa Maria Police Department responded to a shooting incident at the 1700 block of N Broadway Friday morning.

A victim was shot in the arm and through the chest. The victim has been transported to the Marian hospital with moderate injuries. Police say the victim seems as though he will be able to recover from his injuries. Police say to avoid the area at this time. The Santa Maria Police Department is currently looking for a suspect.
