California Native Plant Spotted for First Time in Nearly 3 decades

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.โ€” The Santa Barbara Botanic Garden and California Native Plant Society have announced the discovery of a rare California Native Plant.

This plant has not been documented in close to 30 years. This is the only known population of what is classified as Ancistrocarphus keilii, and itโ€™s in Santa Barbara.

We will be speaking to local botanists about what this means for biodiversity in the area.
