Aboard the vessel were six crew members, all rescued without injury.

Channel Islands National Park Service said the boat also had 1000 gallons of diesel fuel, an unknown amount of hydraulic fluid and 16,000 pounds of squid, which crews worked to salvage.

On Dec. 27, the Speranza Marie broke from anchorage and ran aground again due to significant swells.

Crews were finally able to remove the vessel this month.

On Tuesday, the park service said crews lifted the Speranza Marie from the water and secured it on the deck of the barge.

The park service delivered the boat to a recycling facility in Long Beach early morning Thursday.

The park service said the facility will dispose of the wreckage there in Long Beach.

Response crews will continue with clean-up in the area, according to the park service.
