Paraglider injured in crash on Gibraltar Road

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - A paraglider was injured in a crash on Gibraltar Road Friday afternoon.

Santa Barbara County Fire Department received the call of the paraglider down around 1:20 p.m.

The male paraglider called for help after crashing and injuring his back.

Santa Barbara County Fire Captain Daniel Bertucelli said the paraglider suffered moderate injuries and required a hoist rescue.

Paramedics, Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office and Search and Rescue crews all responded to the incident.
