Glen Annie Golf Club reopens with extra safety protocols
GOLETA, Calif. -- The Glen Annie Golf Club reopened on Sunday with new safety protocols against the spread of COVID-19 in Goleta.
The Goleta golf course will be changing their operations in order to ensure social distancing protocols are in place to keep their customers safe.
The golf course will enact the following social distancing guidelines:
- The club requires all guests to pre-pay with credit cards, no cash is allowed.
- Check-in for golf will be a designated window to golf shop
- Snack Bar will be available for "to-go" items only.
- Staff members will keep golf carts washed and sanitized daily with emphasis on "touch points".
- Club employees will be wearing gloves and masks.
- The club will require one rider per fold card, unless with family member.
- Staff members will keep restrooms sanitized at least every 2 hours.
To reduce touch points on the golf course they have done the following:
- Staff members have removed rakes, ball washers, divot mix containers, water jugs and trash cans.
- They have raised the cups on green to 1 inch to reduce touch points. They ask customers to leave the flag in the hole. The ball is considered hole once it touches the cup.
The golf course hopes to provide an enjoyable and safe golf outing with these new safety measures.
