Santa Barbara Women’s Fund award grants to local non-profits

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- The Women's Fund of Santa Barbara will award $685,000 in grants to nine local nonprofits on May 6.

The Women's Fund will announce the new recipients at a Virtual Celebration of Grants on May 6.

The virtual event is free and open to Women's Fund members and their guests. Registration opens on April 20.

Registered attendees will receive a link to access the live virtual event by computer or cellphone.

The event will also be recorded.

Since 2004, the organization has been combining their charitable money into significant grants that focus on serving the needs of women, children and families in Santa Barbara, Carpinteria and Goleta.

The Women's Fund has awarded more than $7.2 million to local nonprofits with that amount growing to $8 million.
