GOLETA, Calif. - A Goleta couple killed in a hit-and-run was laid to rest Thursday morning.

Hundreds attended a memorial service at Saint Raphael Church to remember Mary Jane Becerra Corral and her husband, Adolfo Corral.

The two were hit by a car and killed along Cathedral Oaks Road in Goleta on February 9.

Investigators say the driver took off after the crash, but was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.

The Corrals are survived by their four children, according to a GoFundMe page set up by the family.

Friends and family say they were loving parents who had a major impact on the community.

Both of them worked in education.

The GoFundMe for the family had raised almost $230,000 as of Thursday afternoon.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Earlier this week, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office asked the public for help in the investigation. Deputies want to speak with anyone who had contact with the man who was arrested, Eric Mauricio Ramirez-Aguilar. They also asked people to check doorbell cameras, security cameras, dashboard cameras or any other surveillance systems that may have captured his vehicle in the area.

Investigators said he was driving a blue 2004 Nissan 350Z convertible at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to call Deputy Rockwell Ellis at 805-961-7518, or send him an email at rme4608@sbsheriff.org . To leave an anonymous tip, call 805-681-4171.
