LOPEZ LAKE, Calif. (KEYT) - The search for a person who went missing late Sunday afternoon in the water at Lopez Lake is continuing on Monday.

Members of the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office's dive and drone teams are at the county park working to locate the missing man who is reported to be either 24- or 25-years-old.

The Sheriff's Office has not released any other information about the individual, including where he is from or how he ended up in the water.

According to the San Luis Obispo County Fire Department/CAL FIRE, the missing person fell into the water before 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Later in the evening, the Sheriff's Office took over the search from the Fire Department and is still actively looking for the victim.

With the search ongoing, San Luis Obispo County Parks, which operates the Lopez Lake Recreation Area, has closed the launch ramp for all recreational boating.

The park does remain open for other uses, such as camping, hiking, shoreline fishing and other activies.
