California Mid-State Fair raises additional prize money for Miss California Scholarship Pageant
PASO ROBLES, Calif. – The California Mid-State Fair announced additional prize money for its 2024 Scholarship Pageant.
The Pageant Queen will now receive $2,500 in cash, first and second Princesses will receive $1,000 and $500 respectively and new cash prizes will go to Miss Congeniality for $250 alongside Interview and Talent at $100 each.
Each contestant will also receive prizes and merchandise from local businesses in the area.
Applicants must be between ages 17-24 on the Fair's opening day of July 17, they must be a current resident of at least 6 months in San Luis Obispo County and must have never been married.
The competition will involve the Interview, Fair/Pageant Platform, Talent, Final Question and Evening Wear categories.
Queen or Princess selections must be able to attend all days of the 2024 Fair including public events such as performer introductions, photos and dignitary meetings.
The first pageant meeting is April 24 at 6:00 p.m. and contestants will then meet weekly on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. as well.
Applications are due April 12 by 11:59 p.m. and those interested can apply online at the Mid State Fair website or on the Applications page.
The pageant is set for July 17 at 6:00 and the show is free to watch with Fair admission.
