Atascadero Police investigating human remains discovered near walking path on Sunday

ATASCADERO, Calif. – Officers with the Atascadero Police Department responded to a call of human remains found near a walking path near Las Lomas Avenue on Sunday.

According to Atascadero Police Department, the remains were located and determined to have been in the area for an extended period of time based on their condition.

The death and identity of the deceased person are currently under investigation, but there are no preliminary findings to indicate a homicide detail Atascadero Police Department.
