Central Coast campgrounds filling up ahead of July 4th Holiday week

OCEANO, Calif. - Overnight camping at the Ocean Dunes State Park is sold out into next week along with several other local State and County Park campgrounds.

Day visits are still allowed with park entrance and parking fees.

This could be the last Fourth of July Holiday for offroad vehicle access to the Oceano Dunes SVRA if a recent decision by the California Coastal Commission holds up in court.

Other campgrounds seeing busy activity ahead of the Fourth of July week include Nacimiento Lake and Lopez Lake in San Luis Obispo County and Cachuma Lake in Santa Barbara County.
