SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif.– Highway 1 on the Big Sur Coast from Ragged Point in SLO to south of Deetjen’s Big Sur Inn in Monterey County reopens to one-way traffic control Tuesday and Wednesday to allow residents to storm prep, according to CalTrans District 5.
The highway will remain open for Tuesday and Wednesday morning only and plans to adhere to previous road closures as early as 2 p.m. Wednesday.
The effort aims to give residents within the area easy road access to gather any necessary supplies ahead of the expected storm.
