Alaska Airlines adds San Diego, Portland flights out of SLO Airport

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Two new flight destinations will be coming to the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport (SBP) this summer on Alaska Airlines. The airline announcing non-stop flights from San Luis Obispo to both San Diego and Portland, Oregon.

The new flights will start June 17. Both locations had previously been announced. Service to San Diego out of SLO started in January 2020 but was put on hold when the pandemic started. Service to Portland was slated to begin in June 2020 but never got going.

“We’re excited to resume nonstop service to San Diego and Portland from San Luis Obispo, furthering our commitment to California’s Central Coast,” said Brett Catlin, Alaska Airlines vice president of network and alliance. “Whether visiting nearby Paso Robles to experience the renowned food and wine scene, cycling through hills and vistas or enjoying our onboard West Coast–inspired food and beverage menu, Alaska guests can look forward to experiencing our award-winning service.”

Alaska Airlines also provides nonstop service twice daily between San Luis Obispo and its hub in Seattle. Tickets are available now for all destinations.

  • Flight AS 3495 Departs SAN at 4:05 p.m. Arrives SBP at 5:15 p.m.
  • Flight AS 3453 Departs SBP at 5:55 p.m. Arrives SAN at 7:05 p.m.

San Luis Obispo (SBP) and Portland (PDX) Flight Schedules

  • Flight AS 2031 Departs PDX at 2:30 p.m. Arrives SBP at 4:37 p.m.
  • Flight AS 2080 Departs SBP at 5:20 p.m. Arrives PDX at 7:20 p.m.
