San Luis Obispo County COVID-19 cases now 1,078, six deaths

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. - San Luis Obispo County reported 72 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday. There are currently 1,078 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in San Luis Obispo County, including six deaths.

The first death in the county was announced Saturday, April 4. The county has reported five coronavirus-related deaths since July 1.

The newest numbers were released on ReadySLO.org.

359 people are recovering at home and 14 people are hospitalized, 6 of which are currently in the ICU. 699 people are considered recovered. One case is listed by the county as "unknown."

More than 28,300 tests have been conducted between the County Public Health Department and a number of private labs.
