ABC Chief National Correspondent Matt Gutman joins the morning news discussing Kristin Smart

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Friday night on News Channel 3, an all new episode of "20/20" takes a closer look at the Kristin Smart case.

Smart was a Cal Poly freshman who disappeared after a party in 1996.

More than two decades later, her killer, Paul Flores, was finally found guilty of first-degree murder in a Monterey County courtroom.

Joining us Friday morning to talk about the upcoming episode of 20/20 was ABC Chief National Correspondent Matt Gutman.

You can catch Friday night's episode of 20/20 on Kristin Smart at 9 p.m. on News Channel 3.

It will also be available on Hulu, starting Saturday.
