Santa Barbara Workshop Shows Business Owners They Don’t Have to do it Alone

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) — Many small business owners reach a point where they are still handling nearly every decision themselves.

A Santa Barbara workshop focused on how to build stronger systems so a company can keep moving without depending on one person for every part of the operation.

The event was hosted by the Santa Barbara chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners.

Panelists Barry Fay, Raquel Naranjo and Claudia Rucker discussed shared responsibilities, tax planning, profitability and ways to build long-term value into a business.

NAWBO Santa Barbara President Annika Jensen moderated the discussion.

Nicole Michelle Wald, NAWBO Santa Barbara director at large, framed the event around creating opportunities for more women to step into positions of leadership and influence.

The workshop also explored how business owners can prepare for future growth or a possible sale by building a company that can function without one person handling every decision.
