Former Cal Poly star Brooks Lee promoted to Triple-A by Minnesota

Former Cal Poly star Brooks Lee was promoted to Triple-A by the Minnesota Twins.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Brooks Lee is tearing up the minor leagues just like he did at Cal Poly.

The Minnesota Twins promoted the 22-year old shortstop to Triple-A St. Paul after a terrific season in the Texas League.

In 87 games for Double-A Wichita Lee batted .292 with 11 home runs and 61 RBI.

His 31 doubles was leading the Texas League.

The Twins drafted Lee in the first round of the 2022 Major League Baseball Draft (8th overall).

Lee is the highest draft pick ever for Cal Poly and he earned five All-America awards following his 2022 collegiate season.
