Santa Barbara County Animal Services provide shelter to animals affected by Cave Fire

Animal Services taking animal evacuees from the Cave Fire

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Santa Barbara County Animal Services provided shelter to animals in Santa Barbara County due to the Cave Fire.

The Santa Barbara County Animal Services, the Santa Barbara Humane Society, Bunnies Urgently Needing Shelter (BUNS) and ASAP Animal Shelter Assistance Programs have been helping animals and evacuees of the Cave Fire.

These programs are still taking in evacuees.

The Santa Barbara County Animal Services has taken in 91 animals and the Santa Barbara Humane Society has taken in 86 animals.

170 large animals are currently at Earl Warren Showgrounds.
