DUI suspect arrested near Bohnett Park

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) Santa Barbara Police arrested a man suspected of driving under the influence and resisting arrest near Bohnett Park on Wednesday around 6:30 p.m.

The officers were responding to a called about an unresponsive man seated in the driver’s seat of a running vehicle in the 1100 block of San Pascual Street.

When they managed to wake the 41-year-old they said they noticed he might be impaired.

Then he ran off.

During a short pursuit, they said he jumped several fences and entered private properties.

Officers apprehended him in the creek bed near the Park.

He was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence and resisting arrest.
