SLO County Sheriff searching for man and woman possibly involved in identity theft at Costco locations across the Central Coast
SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. - The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man and woman between the ages of 50 and 70 who are potentially involved in the identity theft of a Templeton woman.
The victim reported on February 18 that her purse had been stolen from her house. Besides cash and credit cards, the victim said her checkbook, which was inside the purse, was also taken.
On March 6, the victim reported that someone had used her checks at Costco stores in San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria, Hanford and Fresno, Calif.
The Sheriff's Office said the check totaled to about $5,000.
Costco was able to supply deputies with surveillance photos showing the potential suspect. The photos show a man and woman, both white and between 50 and 70 years old.

Deputies said the two individuals are associated with a white extended-cab pickup truck that looks to be a Ford F-150, possibly a 2004 year model or newer.

Once deputies were able to secure a surveillance photo from Costco of the suspect, an "all points bulletin flyer" was sent to Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Monterey, Kings, Kern and Fresno counties.
If anyone has information about these suspects or this incident, they are urged to contact the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office at (805) 781-4550.
