ATASCADERO, Calif. - Atascadero Police have arrested a man who they say is responsible for the armed robbery of Chalk Mountain Liquor.

On Wednesday, police arrived at Chalk Mountain Liquor in the 9900 block of El Camino Real, for a robbery that had just happened.

The suspect, 21-year-old Kyle Walls, had stolen a bandana from the store and when confronted by an employee, Walls brandished a knife. He swung the knife, allegedly attempting to stab the employee, and caused a small cut on the employee's hand. The cut did not require medical attention.

Witnesses gave police a description of the suspect and the car he drove.

California Highway Patrol, San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office, and Atascadero Police conducted a high risk stop on U.S. 101 near Las Tablas, arresting Walls.
