COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Police have captured a man who has been on the run for 11 weeks after the South Carolina Supreme Court revoked an unannounced deal that cut 16 years off his 35-year murder sentence. South Carolina authorities say Jeroid Price was captured without violence at a New York City apartment after a tip. Additional details were not released. Prosecutors and Price’s lawyer agreed to the deal and had a judge sign it, But the Supreme Court revoked it because no public hearing was held and neither the parents of the man Price killed nor investigators who sent him to prison were notified.
