Firefighters save homes after fire burns near Heritage Ranch
PASO ROBLES, Calif. - Cal Fire SLO responded to a vegetation fire Sunday afternoon.
The vegetation fire was reported within Heritage Ranch, on the 2500 Block of Bridle Trail near Peruvian Way.
Firefighters said their aggressive attack on the ground and from the air saved homes.
Crews also said defensible space provides around residential structures played a major role in being able to defend the homes from this fast moving wildfire.
CAL FIRE SLO tweeted the fire was at 2 acres and that forward progress had stopped around 5 p.m.
