Stretch of Highway 246 near Lompoc to close for construction

LOMPOC, Calif. - A small stretch of Highway 246 near Lompoc will be closed next week while Caltrans crews work on a resurfacing project.

The two-day project begins Tuesday and runs through Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

Highway 246 will be closed from the Highway 1/Highway 246 intersection to Sweeney Road.

Drivers heading west can detour from Highway 246 onto Purisima Road and then back to Highway 1.

Drivers heading east can take Highway 1, which is H Street through Lompoc, and then cut over to Highway 246 towards Buellton.
