Monday morning forecast – Dec. 9th

As a ridge of high pressure begins to build expect drier and slightly warmer conditions for Monday. This will allow for more sunshine throughout our forecasted area. Temps will be slightly below average with the coasts in the mid to upper 60s. Valleys and mountains will be in the upper 50s to low 60s.

Looking ahead, the ridge will be impacted by an approaching trof. This will prompt an increase in cloud coverage. With mid to high level clouds forming Monday night into Tuesday. Cloud coverage will be high enough where areas South of Point Conception could still have a degree or so of warming.

High pressure will begin to settle for mid-week with less cloud coverage and warmer temps. Wednesday could bring average conditions with temps warming slightly above average for Thursday.
