LOMPOC, Calif. - Two people were arrested following a narcotics investigation in Lompoc.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office says its Special Investigations Unit worked with the Cannabis Compliance Team to serve a search warrant in Lompoc. Detectives were investigating narcotics sales and illegal cannabis transportation, processing, and sales.

They served the warrant in the 400 block of Coronado Drive on Wednesday.

Two people were arrested after a car stop related to the investigation. Investigators took Kenneth H. Frederick, 51, of Lompoc, and John T. Hamilton, 34, of Lompoc into custody.

During the search, detectives say they found a pound of methamphetamine, ammunition, body armor, several pounds of dried and processed marijuana, packaging materials, and other evidence indicating illegal and undocumented sales. They also found $30,000 in cash.

Both Frederick and Hamilton were booked into Santa Barbara County Jail. Frederick is being held on $250,000 bail, and Hamilton is being held on $20,000 bail.
