Man arrested in downtown Santa Barbara for trying to fight people

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - One person was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon after police say he was challenging people to fight in downtown Santa Barbara.

Police say it happened around 3:40 p.m. in the area of State and Anapamu Streets.

Officers say the man was trying to get people to fight with him.

Police were called to the scene and he tried to escape, but was later taken into custody.

Officers say the case is still under investigation, and they're looking into potential charges.

Investigators didn't identify the person who was arrested.

No injuries were reported.
