New loading zones take effect in downtown San Luis Obispo
Some traffic relief in San Luis Obispo has taken effect on Tuesday. There are now specific loading zones for people using Uber, Lyft, or even taxis.
They’re on Higuera and Chorro streets downtown. The zones will be enforced during the peak time for downtown bars from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m.
The goal is to keep people safe while they’re getting in and out of their ride, and it should prevent traffic from backing up while rideshares are stopping.
