Bicyclist seriously injured in hit-and-run crash in Oxnard

A bicyclist was seriously injured after he was hit by a vehicle early Wednesday morning in Oxnard.

The 46-year-old man was struck in the intersection of C Street and Rincon way at around 12:10 a.m.

When police arrived, the vehicle that hit the man was nowhere to be found.

The man was taken to the hospital with major injuries and is currently listed in critical condition.

Investigators determined that the vehicle struck the man at the intersection. The vehicle continued to drive down Rincon Way and dragged the man about 100 feet. The vehicle then fled the scene.

Police believe the vehicle was a sedan, possibly a Honda Accord.
