Public Workshops on future use of Diablo Canyon announced

PG&E has announced that they will hold future public workshops to gather in public input on the potential future uses of Diablo Canyon lands and facilities.

The company says the input given will be evaluated by PG&E as plans are developed for the plant’s future decommissioning.

Diablo Canyon lands workshops will be held at the Pismo Beach City Hall (760 Mattie Rd.).

Friday, August 17, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, August 18, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Diablo Canyon facilities repurposing workshops will be held at Atascadero City Hall (6500 Palma Ave.).

Friday, September 14, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

There will also be a panel public meeting on August 29 and September 26 that will focus on the future use of Diablo Canyon lands and facilities.

Those interested in presenting ideas to the panel on the future use of Diablo Canyon lands and facilities at one of the workshops should reach the panel at Engagementpanel@pge.com.

Interested parties should include their name or entity, topic, contact information, and a digital slide presentation. The panel will notify those chosen to present in advance of the workshop.

The public is invited to attend; however, only those invited to present will be able to address the panel. The public is encouraged to offer comments to the panel at public meetings, or by navigating to the “Contact us” section of the panel’s website, which offers multiple options for submitting comments.
