Man arrested for possession of narcotics in Grover Beach

A man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after police say he was found in possession of narcotics in Grover Beach.

At around 4:30 p.m., a patrol officer spotted ‘suspicious activity’ occurring inside a parked vehicle on the 100 block of South Oak Park Boulevard.

The officer made contact with the male occupant and found him to be in possession of over 20 grams of methamphetamine and a small amount of heroin.

The suspect was arrested and booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail.

He has been identified as 54-year-old Russell Mark Johns.

Johns is being held on a $65,000 bond and could face drug related charges, as well as charges for violating his probation.
