Vehicle crashes into Lompoc home

A driver of an SUV escaped injury after driving through the living room of a house in Lompoc.

At around 10:30 a.m., Lompoc City Fire Department responded to 1008 West Date Street for a report of a vehicle into a home.

According to Lompoc fire officials, the driver of a white Nissan Xterra was pulling into the driveway when for unknown reasons they struck the exterior wall of the house and drove into the living room.

The house sustained moderate damage to the window and the wall but the home did not sustain any structural damage.

City firefighters assisted in cleaning up the mess and removing the vehicle from the home.

The driver was uninjured and no one inside the house was injured.
