Former UCSB star Alan Williams is enjoying his first full season in the NBA

UCSB’s all-time leading rebounder and scorer Alan Williams is hard at work in the NBA.

Big Al is learning the ropes in his first full season in the league.

The Phoenix Suns forward-center has played in about a third of the team’s games so far and had a memorable two games in mid-November posting back-to-back double-doubles in Indiana and Philadelphia. He had 15 points and 15 rebounds against the Pacers and 12 points and 11 rebounds versus the 76ers.

Williams played high school basketball in the Phoenix-area and his mom Jeri became the police chief in Phoenix in late October of this year.

Williams is fond of his Santa Barbara days and is enjoying the NBA-experience.
