The Oxnard Police Department announced the arrest of a suspect believed to be connected to the murder of 25-year-old Angel Diaz in April, 2015.

Oxnard police identified the suspect as Aaron Jabezz Holmes, 20, of Oxnard.

The early morning murder took place on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 4811 S. Rose Ave. in Oxnard.

At around 2:30 a.m. that morning, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area. Upon arrival, officers located Diaz deceased in the driver seat of his vehicle. Officers determined Diaz had been shot to death.

Oxnard Police Department Major Crimes Investigators took over the investigation and gathered enough information and evidence to obtain an arrest warrant for Holmes.

Holmes could face a murder charge for the death of Diaz.
