Fire Damages UCSB Engineering Building
Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to a fire on the UCSB campus about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
The flames were contained to a first floor room in Building 503 UCSB Campus Engineering 2. The building was evacuated.
Fire officials traced the problem to overheated electrical equipment.
No one was hurt.
