Accused Puncher Arrested Twice in San Luis Obispo
Justin Pard, the Arizona transient, who walked into the Flip Flop Shop and punched one of the clerks was arrested not once, but twice on Thursday.
Pard left the San Luis Obispo woman with a bloody nose and a bruised face. When the police arrested Pard, they found he was holding a large kitchen knife.
Pard was later released from the County Jail with the promise to appear in court.
At approximately 9:30 p.m. customers at Black Horse Espresso called police saying a man, believed to be Pard, was making them feel uncomfortable.
Upon police arrival the male suspect left the area on foot. Just before midnight police caught up with Pard sleeping on private property and was arrested for trespassing.
The San Luis Obispo Police Department is now trying to get Pard’s bail raised from $2000 due to the circumstances surrounding the assault.
Contact with the Arizona Probation Department that oversees Pard and the local District Attorney’s office have been contacted for review of his charges.
