Saturday Wrap-Up:

Bishop Diego scored all of their points in the first half in a 23-6 win over Fillmore. The Cardinals are 8-0 as they won their Tri-Valley League Opener.

Cate defeated Laguna Blanca in a wild eight-man football game in Carpinteria 58-52. Both teams are 5-2.

Brandon Edwards threw for a career-high 339 yards with 3 touchdowns as SBCC won its sixth-straight game, beating L.A. Pierce 29-14. They are 6-1.

Also on Saturday, Cal Poly football stunned #6 Montana 41-21 as quarterback Chris Brown broke his own school record with 226 rushing yards with two touchdowns. Cal Poly is now 5-3 on the year after a 1-3 start. They are 4-1 in the Big Sky Conference.

In men’s college soccer, UCSB and Cal Poly played to a 2-2 tie in front of the second largest regular season, on-campus crowd in NCAA history.

14,345 fans filled Harder Stadium to watch the Gauchos erase a 2-0 second half deficit.

Cal Poly’s Justin Dhillon scored a first-half goal in the 14th minute to give the Mustangs a 1-0 lead at intermission. His second goal of the game put Cal Poly up 2-0 in the 52nd minute.

But UCSB stormed back with a goal one minute later by Ludwig Ahl. The Gauchos got the equalizer in the 66th minute as Nick DePuy scored the final goal of the night.

Both teams are 3-2-2 in the Big West Conference.
