Dallas Cowboys Arrive to Ventura County, Start Training Camp Today
The Dallas Cowboys touched down at Naval Base Ventura County on Tuesday afternoon.
America’s favorite football team is here to take advantage of the cooler weather on the California coast as they prepare for Football season. They are also here to meet their West Coast fans.
After the men landed at the base Tuesday, they headed indoors where hundreds of Cowboy fans greeted them. Active military members and their families got to meet the players, cheerleaders and coaches. They also got to get autographs from their favorites like quarterback Tony Romo and tight end Jason Witten.
“We are here to get some signatures from the best football team in America. America’s football team,” said Cody Clippertonallen with the U.S. Navy.
“It gives my kids that enjoy the team a chance to meet all their favorite players,” said Tomas Worth with the U.S. Navy
The team will start practicing for the first time in Oxnard on Thursday afternoon at the River Ridge Field in Oxnard. All the practices are free to attend and open to the public, but there is a $10 on-site parking charge. The cowboys will be in Oxnard through Aug. 15.
