Dream Foundation Grants Final Wish for Cancer Patient

The Dream Foundation survives off the love and support of the community. With the help of volunteers, and donations, it is able to serve thousands from Ventura to San Luis Obispo County. Their mission is to help adults with life-threatening illnesses get their final wish.

NewsChannel 3 Anchor Shirin Rajaee sat down with one family whose lives were touched by the generosity of the foundation. Richard Tidds, a Santa Barbara native, was diagnosed with cancer and his last wish was to have a vegetable garden. He wanted to pass on a gift to his family that would continue providing, even after he left.

Once Dream Foundation heard about Richard’s wish, it was their mission to bring his dream to life. And that’s exactly what they did. Richard Tidds died at the age of 77, just one week after he got his beautiful vegetable garden in August 2013.
